Robots are dangerous, use this test plug information entirely at your own risk!
These are specifications for a test plug, or shorting plug for ABB robots with S3 or S4 controllers M93 to M96. This is plugged into the robots XS 3 connector. This is located either on the outside of the control cabinet on the left side or more usually inside the cabinet on the bottom left of the back plate. Here the plug is often connected to an angled terminal block used for customer connections, this may be jumpered using the connections below without the need for the additional Harting male connector.
Please note that this should only be used for test purposes. Under no circumstances should a robot be run in Automatic mode without proper safety systems that comply with local legislation. This will almost certainly include guarding, safety interlocks etc. Please also consider that the robot may over balance and fall if it is not bolted down securely.
