The Kuka KR125 is a 125kg robot that uses Kuka's modular aluminum construction and innovative design to give a robot that is faster lighter, and easier to manoeuvre than many similar machines. Based on the earlier IR360/125 robot arm the main advantage is the KRC1 robot controller which is much improved on the old RC30/51C controller. The KRC1 was the first popular windows based robot control. The teach pendant of the KRC1 has a very large colour screen and has an excellent user interface. By using a windows based system the Kuka software is immediately familar to the PC user.
In addition the KRC1 controller is very compact. Based on standard PC hardware the cabinet measures under 600mm x 700mm x 1m high.
